Acceptance of Terms
By using Furnmovers, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the platform.
Description of Services
Furnmovers provides logistics and moving services via a digital platform where users can request and book delivery, pickup, storage, and assembly services. This includes our parcel delivery service, which allows customers to send parcels of varying sizes across South Africa. Services are fulfilled by independent movers registered on our platform.
User Responsibilities
As a user of the Furnmovers platform, you agree to the following responsibilities:
- Accurate Information: You must provide accurate pickup and drop-off addresses, correct contact details for both sender and recipient, and an honest description of parcel contents when booking any service.
- Packaging: You are responsible for adequately packaging your parcel before collection. Furnmovers and its drivers are not liable for damage resulting from insufficient packaging.
- Lawful Use: You must not use the platform to send illegal, prohibited, or dangerous goods. This includes but is not limited to: illegal substances, firearms and ammunition, perishable foods without prior agreement, live animals, or any item prohibited under South African law.
- Recipient Availability: You are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel at the drop-off address on the planned delivery date. Failed deliveries due to recipient unavailability may incur an additional re-delivery fee.
Parcel Delivery Terms
The following terms apply specifically to parcel delivery bookings made through Furnmovers:
- Size Categories: Parcels are classified as Small (fits in a bag), Medium (fits in a box), or Large (fits in a bakkie). Misrepresenting parcel size may result in cancellation or an adjusted fare at the driver's discretion.
- Delivery Speed: Standard delivery is same-day. Express delivery aims for delivery within 2 hours of collection and attracts a 35% surcharge on the base fare. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances.
- Pricing: The price displayed at the time of booking is the final amount you will pay. Prices are calculated based on distance, parcel size, and delivery speed. No hidden fees are added after booking confirmation.
- Cash on Delivery: If you select Cash on Delivery, the exact amount shown at booking must be paid to the driver in cash upon collection or delivery as agreed. Drivers are not obligated to provide change — please have the exact amount ready.
- Card Payments: Card payments are processed securely via Paystack. Upon confirming a card payment booking, you will be redirected to Paystack's secure checkout. The booking is confirmed only once payment is successfully processed.
- Cancellations: Parcel delivery bookings may be cancelled at no charge before a driver is assigned. Once a driver has been assigned and is en route, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking price may apply.
- Proof of Delivery: The driver may capture a photo or collect a signature upon delivery as proof. This record is available via your dashboard.
Payments and Refunds
All card payments are processed securely via Paystack, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. Cash on Delivery payments are settled directly with the driver. Refunds for card payments, where applicable, will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

Insurance & Liability for Parcels
Furnmovers provides basic coverage on all parcel deliveries. Senders are strongly advised to ensure high-value items are adequately covered before booking. We do not accept liability for fragile items that are not appropriately packaged by the sender.

Up to R20,000- Exclusions: Coverage does not apply to cash, jewellery, illegal items, perishable goods, or damage caused by inadequate packaging.
- Claims window: Damage or loss claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the confirmed delivery time. Claims submitted after this window will not be accepted.
Limitation of Liability
Furnmovers is a technology platform that connects customers with independent drivers. While we verify drivers and maintain service standards, Furnmovers is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for damages resulting from the actions or negligence of third-party drivers, unless covered under the applicable insurance tier.
Important Notice
For parcel deliveries specifically, our liability is limited to the basic coverage amount of R2,000 per delivery unless premium coverage was purchased. We strongly recommend photographing high-value parcels before handover and ensuring packaging is robust enough to withstand transit.
Changes to Terms
Furnmovers reserves the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify users via email or on the website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
